1. What Information does Wild Vedas collect?

We collect information from you only when you choose to provide information to us, when you voluntarily provide it through the Services, or when you provide it to us through other means. The information we collect depends on how you use the Services or otherwise communicate or interact with us.

Personal Information

“Personal information” means information about an identifiable individual (e.g., name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, payment information, health information and emergency contact information). Personal information does not include anonymous or non-personal information (e.g., business contact information, information that cannot be associated with or traced to a specific individual or anonymized data).

We collect personal information that you knowingly provide when you use the Services. If you create a personalised account with Wild Vedas by registering for one on the Website, you will be required to provide us with similar personal information. In any case, we’ll use the personal information you provide to us in order to better serve your interests.

Now and then, we may conduct surveys, contests, mailings or other promotions. If you choose to participate in one of our surveys, contests, mailings or other promotions, we may request personal information, such as your name, e-mail address, telephone number, interests, and other personal information, to enable us to execute the promotion and notify winners. Some of this information will be mandatory to participate in the promotion; other information will be optional. We will tell you whether any personal information is mandatory or optional.

Health Information

“Health information” means any personal information received by Wild Vedas relating to an individual’s physical or mental health. Health information includes, but is not limited to, all personal information relating to an individual regarding their health and wellness, including diagnostic information, health history, biometrics, and recordings (be they audio, video, or a combination thereof) of conversations between an individual and Wild Vedas made in the course of, or with the intention of, providing services. We only collect health information that you provide to us when you use the Services.

Use of the Services: Information Sent to Us by Your Browser

Some of the information we collect from you when you use the Services does not personally identify you, although it may be unique or consist of information that you consider personal. For example, we collect information that is sent to us automatically by your browser or by using cookies, pixel tags, web beacons, tracking URLs, and other website technologies. This information typically includes your IP address, the identity of your internet service provider, the name and version of your operating system, the name and version of your browser, the date and time of your visit, the pages you visit, and any search terms you enter while using the Services. This information cannot be used to identify you personally unless you identify yourself to us by, for example, making a purchase, creating an account or by giving us your e-mail address. If you provide us with personal information by creating an account with us or otherwise, we may link the information sent to us by your browser to the personal information you have provided to us.

Use of the Services: Cookies, Pixel Tags, Web Beacons and Similar Technologies

We use "cookies," “pixel tags,” “web beacons” and other web technologies for a number of purposes, including:

  • to collect information about the ways you use the Services - for example, which pages you visit, which links you use, and how long you stay on each page;

  • to support the features and functionality of the Services - for example, to save you the trouble of re-entering information already in our database, or to prompt the settings you established on previous visits to the Services; and

  • to personalize your experience when you use the Services.

Generally, the information we collect using these web technologies does not identify you personally. If, however, you have provided us with personal information by creating an account on the Website or otherwise, we may link the information collected using these Web technologies to the personal information you have provided to us which in turn, identifies you.

Cookies are small pieces of information stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive. Most web browsers accept cookies by default, but you can change your browser settings to refuse cookies. If you do so, you may experience difficulties using the Services.

Pixel tags or web beacons are tiny graphic images used to help us analyze your online shopping patterns, create content designed for your connection speeds, and deliver e-mail in a format you can read.

When you access the Services by clicking on a link in an electronic communication you receive from us, your browser tells us that someone has clicked on a particular link in that particular electronic communication. We use this information to improve our marketing efforts.

Social Media/Integration with Third Party Platforms

The Services may permit you to interact with a third-party website or service, such as enabling you to "like" us on another website or "share" content from the Services with third-party websites (a "Social Networking Service"). If you choose to "like" or "share" content or to otherwise post personal information from or via the Services to a Social Networking Service, that information may be publicly displayed, and the third-party may have access to certain information about you and your use of the Services. Similarly, if you interact with us through a Social Networking Service, we may have access to information about you (for example, if you "like" or "follow" our page on a third-party website).  Please note that if you mention or comment about Wild Vedas or the Services in your post to a third-party platform, the third-party platform may allow us to publish your post via the Services.

You may also choose to use a social media tool offered by a third party, but available on the Services (such as posting a review). Use of such features may allow us to collect (or the third party to share) information about you, including personal information. When you choose to use a social media tool available through the Services, you may be opting to link your activity on the Services with that third-party website or service, which may then collect information about your visits to the Website and may publish that activity as you request to your profile or similar feature with that third party.

In addition, we may receive information about you if other users of a third-party website give us access to their profiles and you are one of their "connections," or information about you is otherwise accessible through your "connections" web page, profile page, or similar page on a social networking or other third-party website or interactive service.

The information collected and stored by the third party remains subject to the third party's privacy practices, including, but not limited to, whether the third party continues to share information with us, the types of information shared, and your choices with regard to what is visible to others on that third party website and service. The third party may allow you to remove the application or feature, in which case we will no longer collect information about you through the application or feature, but we may retain the information previously collected.

Analytics

Portions of the Services may also use analytical tools (collectively, “Analytical Tools”) that are operated by us and third-party providers, such as (Squarespace, Janeapp, Cliniko, Eventbrite, etc.), which may use cookies, web beacons, scripts, and similar means for the purpose of collecting information and analysing how you use the Services. Information collected using Analytical Tools will be transmitted and stored on servers (which may be on servers located outside of Canada). The third-party providers of Analytical Tools may also transfer this information to other third parties (such as governmental authorities) where they are required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on their behalf. As some Analytical Tools rely on cookies to perform their functions, you can avoid having your usage data collected by those Analytical Tools by disabling cookies in your browser.

Advertising

The services of third-party advertising networks and similar vendors (such as Meta and google, collectively “Third Party Ad Providers”) may collect certain information, including personal information, over time about you and your visits to the Services. These third parties may set and access their own tracking technologies on your computer or mobile device, including, but not limited to, cookies and web beacons, and may otherwise collect or have access to your IP address and information about your visits to and activity on our Services as well as third-party websites and online services. These cookies and web beacons may be used to, among other things, target advertisements (including our advertisements), prevent you from seeing the same advertisements too many times, and to conduct research regarding the usefulness of certain advertisements to you.
